If you read English, and quite a few Americans don't apparently, this is pretty straightforward.
It's an individual right guys. Anyone stopping you, or infringing on your ability to, procure, keep or bear arms is breaking the law.
That's right, the national and state legislatures are often filled with criminals.
If you are interested in shooting and firearms, and live in or near Rhode Island, consider joining the Newport Rifle Club. It is the oldest pistol and rifle club in the U.S.A. You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer or more friendly and helpful group of people. I don't get over there as much as I'd like, but I do when I can.

Newport Rifle Club I myself have a Bushmaster AR15, a SAR 3, and an Arcus 94 pistol as well as a M39 Moison Nagant rifle, the most accurate bolt action rifle ever issued to regular troops. Not US troops of course, Finnish troops.
